Blink video doorbell Full system vs Standalone

  • Blink Video Doorbell Standalone does not include Sync Module 2. Without a Sync Module, live-view and two-way audio are available only in response to a doorbell press or motion event. With a Sync Module or Sync Module 2 get these features anytime on-demand.
  • Standalone is is recommended for existing customers with a Blink system to connect it to while the full system option provides you with everything you should need to get a new Blink System started.
  • The “Standalone Doorbell” does not include a Sync Module and the “Doorbell System” does. A Sync Module is not required as the Doorbell can manage its own system, but when installed with a Sync Module, the battery life is improved and advanced features are available.

Which one do would we recommend?

It depends. If you only need normal doorbell features, the standalone works perfectly, you get notifications on your phone or any Alexa device and when someone rings the doorbell you can hear the doorbell itself chime.

However, if you want all the features on-demand and improved battery life, you should get the full system.
